Government opens the first Civil Protection Unit and Environment

The unit is located in Cocoa Pirêra district, in Iranduba.

The governor José Melo opens on Monday, day 5 of October, to 18h, the first Civil Protection Unit and Half Amazonas State Environment, in Cocoa Pirêra district, in Iranduba, in the metropolitan region of Manaus. The project brings together actions of various state bodies and entities in order to offer, seamlessly, services in the areas of security and civil defense, environmental preservation and social development. In this ocasion, Governor delivery certificates 170 brigadiers, the first formed by the Unit in Iranduba.

The Civil Protection Unit and Environment is an initiative of the Fire Brigade and the State Civil Defense integrating, besides these two bodies, representatives of State Departments of Environment (Schema), Health (Sesame), Social assistance (Seas), the University of the State of Amazonas (UEA), the Amazon Institute of Environmental Protection (Ipaam), the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu), Regional Council of Engineering and Architecture (Create) Firefighters and Civil.
