Graffiti show has Olympic theme

Graffiti artists from Brazil and abroad are in Manaus, no dia 28, for the 5th Edition Black & White Graffiti Show which this year will focus the Olympics in Brazil. Contemplated by the Notice of Cultural Connections, the Cultural Foundation, Tourism and Events (Manauscult), the event will be held at Mutirão, neighborhood Amazonino Mendes, North Zone.

According to the cultural producer Lamartine Silva, or Black Lamar, every year the show covers a topic that should be followed by the artists participating. "In the previous edition the theme was Black Consciousness and all artists painted something allusive. This year will be the Olympic Games and all graffiti artists invited will follow the theme, with full freedom of expression in this context”, Black said Lamar.

The arts will be executed in the wall of the Municipal School Ulysses Guimarães. A Black & White Graffiti show is performed by the Collective Urban Fever (F.U) which is organized in the north of the city of Manaus 14 years, participating in artwork, cultural, social, in addition to actions promoted together with other entities.

More of 30 graffiti artists are expected, between them, of Belo Horizonte artists, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, For, Maranhão, Venezuela and Chile. The event will also feature rappers and DJ's.
