The World Health Day will be celebrated on Thursday, 7, with a large mobilization in the square Heliodoro Balbi (Old Square Police), in Manaus Center, from 8am to 12pm, with actions against Aedes aegypti and encouraging healthy lifestyles. The action will include leafleting and health education activities focusing on promoting healthy eating, physical activity, prevention of smoking, dengue, zika virus and chikungunya fever.
The World Health Organization (WHO) defined the fight against diabetes as a theme to be addressed in the World Health Day in the year 2016, disease recognized as a major chronic conditions and a public health problem of global scale.
