The Amazonas Legislative Assembly (hazard) approved on Tuesday morning (24) the bill the chairman of the House, Mr Joshua Neto (PSD), establishing the "Permanent Campaign Clarification and Encouraging Organ Donation" in the State of Amazonas.

The proposed campaign, according to the project, is to establish a permanent educational campaign so that society in general and specifically the families are sensitized about the importance of authorization for the removal of organs, after confirmation of death. Joshua Neto believes that this initiative can increase the number of transplants and, like this, save more lives, reducing the number of patients on the waiting list.

The president pointed out the need for this campaign touch the hearts of people, and that every family should have the information that there is among them a donor. "We know that, sometimes, people who are in need of this type of donation are seen with prejudice. there are cases, as in traffic accidents, for example, where the family has no interest in donating to be living a moment of pain and sorrow ", Joshua reminded Neto. "So it is important to conduct information campaigns like this, so that a greater number of people can participate, including using your social networks, disclosing in the press and in public places of great movement as squares, schools and hospitals themselves this act of love of neighbor ", concluded.
