"Currently the Amazon Court (TJ-AM) has more than 2,3 thousand ongoing processes of crimes against the dignity of minors. E, the best way to combat this violence is to prevent that from happening and more than that: offer to those who unfortunately suffered from this kind of violence ", detailed parliamentary.
Stated data Zelia Campos point to the biggest challenge in caring for victims of sexual violence: humanization. "The environments are not scheduled to meet this audience", complained.
Yet for the coordinator, one in four children suffer sexual abuse, totaling over 40,5 thousand rapes in the country, an average of one case per 11 minutes. "In this universe of victims, only 10% decide to report their abusers ", said Zelia Campos based on statistics from the Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea).
