Camera analyzes parliamentary amendments this weekAmongst them, is the amendment that extends the attention to animal welfare, Everaldo Farias authoring.
The councilors of the Municipality of Manaus (CMM) assess, this week, the amendments to Bill No. 078/2016 which deals with the Budget Guidelines Law (LDO) for 2017. These include amendments to the expansion of primary health care system, and shelter deployment animal welfare and creation of the Cultural Enhancement Programme, all amendments presented by councilor Everaldo Farias (PV).
The first two amendments meet the expanding needs of care in Basic Health Units (BHU) and seek to remedy demands for the improvement of services in the Zoonosis Control (CCZ). In practice, proposals to the Annual Budget Law (LOA) next year, ask for the inclusion of actions for the implementation of measures for public health and animal welfare.
"We know that Manaus has many needs that must be met, but these amendments, we need to prioritize the demands that we believe are essential for the population. I think in addition to a decent health care, animal welfare needs to be remembered as the lack of animals on the streets can also pose serious problems to public health. Furthermore, who have pets at home know when it is important to see them healthy ", Everaldo defended Faria, who is chairman of the Environmental Commission of the CMM.
In order to create public policies that are implemented in the budget of the capital directed to the enhancement of cultural heritage, Everaldo Farias has filed the Amendment No. 01/2016, which provides for the implementation of the Cultural Heritage Enhancement Program.
The proposal provides that in the recovery program is included a set of real estate of significant value, such as landscapes, historical sites, the architectural complexes and buildings of cultural interest – and immaterial or intangible assets of the city and region.
“The cultural values of our city need to have more attention and to make it happen, the creation of a program that will aim to value each of them will help in the preservation of what is important for our region. It is necessary that they undergo a cataloging process, storage and protection. A people with memory has high self-esteem and pride in themselves. We can not let an important past behind, the story must be valued ", He explained the author of the proposal.
