Justice of Rio de Janeiro determined the suspension – by 180 days – all actions and executions against telecommunications companies Group Hi. Injunction in this direction was granted last night (21) by the judge of the 7th Corporate Court of Rio, Fernando Viana.
The decision benefits companies Hi, Telemar Norte Leste, hi Mobile, Copart 4 e 5 holdings, Portugal Telecom and Hi Brazil. According to a statement issued by the Court of Rio de Janeiro, the decision aims to "prevent new lawsuits are carried out between the request for judicial recovery and eventual acceptance by the court."
In the same decision, the magistrate ordered the dismissal of presentations clearance certificates in all circumstances related to business, including exercising its activities, as negative certificates of debts related to revenues administered by the National Telecommunications Agency and also negative distribution certificates of bankruptcy filings and bankruptcy.
Recovery application will be examined
According to a statement of the Court, the judge must decide, in the next days, whether to accept the application for bankruptcy protection filed by the companies that make up the Group Hi.
The application for bankruptcy was announced by Hi as a relevant fact on Monday (21), in a process involving $ R 65,4 billion in debt - the largest ever in the country.
The largest order so far registered in Brazil was made by the company probes deepwater Seven Brazil, involved in financial difficulties from the Lava Jet scandal. The total came to R $ 19,3 billion.
