The federal collection of federal taxes totaled R $ 617,257 billion in the first half, real down 7,33% compared to the same period last year, adjusted for inflation by the National Index of Consumer Prices Broad (HICP), used by the government to set goals.

Cofins e PIS/Pasep

According to Revenue, among the main factors that influenced the collection in June is the fall of the Contribution to Social Security Financing (Cofins) and Contribution to PIS / PASEP, real reduction 8,45%. PIS / PASEP is the acronym of the Social Integration Program and Civil Service Asset Formation Program (Pasep), which are social contributions payable by companies. The result was a decrease in effect 10,20% the volume of sales of goods. There was also reduction in Import Tax and Excise Tax related to import with falling 28,38% due to the reduction in the value of imports of dollar.

In the case of pension income, the collection registered real fall 3,14% no period. The collection also suffered the effect of the fall of the Income-Tax Legal Person (IRPJ), a decrease of 7,58%.
