Former president Fernando Henrique is pacemaker implant in São Paulo

Former President Fernando Henrique Cardoso, from 85 years, did today (9) an operation to implant a pacemaker, device used to correct heart rhythm.

According to the press office of former president, the operation was successful and Fernando Henrique Cardoso is doing well.

Surgery to implant was performed at 9 am at the Heart Hospital, in São Paulo. The former president was taken to the room at 10:30 am, where it should remain until discharged medical. The forecast is that Fernando Henrique leave the hospital today.
