Court denies appeal and maintains Waterfall, Cavendish and others arrested in Operation Marauder in Bangu 8

Lack of anklets prevents way detainees to house arrest.

The federal judge Paulo Espirito Santo, 1st Class of the Second Region Federal Regional Court Specialized (TRF2), in Rio de Janeiro, He denied on Tuesday (4) defense request of the offender Carlos Augusto de Almeida Ramos, Carlinhos Cachoeira, so that it fulfills house arrest without the use of electronic ankle bracelet.

On Friday (1º), Justice granted house arrest to five defendants, but for lack of electronic anklets, they were not released.

In today's decision, the judge said will have to re-examine the process of decision Rapporteur, Federal Judge Ivan Athiéque, and that the merits of the application for habeas corpus should now be enjoyed by the 1st Specialized Panel, on trial still no date set.
