The Federal Public Ministry (MPF) presented today (28) complaint against 15 people suspected of fraud in public tenders, corruption and money laundering in contracts between Eletronuclear and two contractors: Andrade Gutierrez and Engevix. The complaint was made on the basis of the task force investigations Operation Lava jet in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
Among the accused are former leaders of Eletronuclear Luiz Antonio Amorim Soares, Luiz Manuel Amaral Messiah, José Eduardo Brayner Costa Mattos, Edno Negrini and Persio José Gomes Jordani.
They were also reported former executives of the five companies investigated in the corruption scheme, the construction of the nuclear power plant Angra 3. The MPF conducted the research through bank secrecy and tax breaks, winning collaboration, telephone intercepts, search and seizure warrants, preventive arrests and evidence sharing.
According to the MPF, with the deepening of the investigation, it was found that the administrative core of the criminal organization was not composed of the former president of Eletronuclear, Othon Luiz, but also by the five managers reported today.
