Civil servants will act to combat juvenile sexual exploitation during the Olympics, In Manaus

Representatives of state and municipal agencies knew the work plan will occur in areas where educational approaches.

Manaus should receive around 150 thousand tourists for the Olympic Tournament games Soccer and, due to the proportion of the event, the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretary of State for Social Assistance (Seas), will conduct prevention and awareness against sexual exploitation of crime and violence with children, women, seniors and people with disabilities. The actions are part of the Special Program Thematic Group of the Rio Olympic Games 2016, and will involve, approximately, 300 state public servants, Municipal and institutions linked to the causes of these public.

During the training held on the morning of Friday, 22 July, in the auditorium of the Elderly Park, neighborhood Our Lady of Grace, Central South zone of Manaus, representatives of state and municipal agencies knew the work plan will occur in areas where educational approaches, as the environment of the Amazon Arena and Live Sites, it will work in Ponta Negra.

The Family Center Maria Miranda Lion, which is next to the Arena Amadeu Teixeira, It will be a service center for potential victims of such crime during games, as explained in the special protection department director of the Seas, Italian Nonato. According to the coordinator of the State Committee of coping Sexual Violence of Children and Adolescents (Cevisca), Shulamith de Souza, to the success of this work is also needed the cooperation of society. "Community participation in this work is crucial, taking care of their children, and are witnessing some kind of act that violates the rights of adolescents, of the woman, the elderly and people with disabilities, report it because we will take the necessary measures ".

Beyond the Seas are involved in this project the State Justice Secretaries, Human Rights and Citizenship (Sejusc), Public Safety - through Combats (Program for Prevention of Violence and Combat the Use of Narcotics and Narcotic) -, Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Seped), Education (Seduc), Guardianship Council, Amazonastur and the Municipal Social Welfare and Human Rights (Semmasdh).
