The government is considering privatizing the airports of Congonhas (SP) and Santos Dumont (RJ), according to President Michel Temer in exercise (PMSD), in an interview published on Sunday (10) by Folha.

Although the idea has not received support during the government of President Dilma Rousseff away (PT), Temer said he does not see, now, resistance in the economic area. “Also there is of me”, said.

The privatization of airports – which have the busiest route in the country – It would be a government alternative to reduce the shortfall in public accounts, which will reach R $ 139 billion in 2017. “My wish is that no increase, but, if absolute nbecessidade, You have nothing to do”, Temer told the Folha.

The report also points out that there are two models under discussion on the future of Congonhas and Santos Dumont – the sale of control, which puts Infraero as a minority partner; and private management of airports, but with control in the hands of the state. In the latter case, Infraero would 51% do capital, but companies would be opened to manage airports.
