slackline classes will be offered free in the Olympic Village of Manaus "Danilo Duarte de Mattos Areosa" (Avenida Pedro Teixeira, No 400, Dom Pedro, central-west), every Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays, from Monday(15), in time from 8am to 9.30am. The action has Amazonas Government support, through the Secretariat of State for Youth, Sports and leisure (Sejel).

Or course, that is weekly, will feature theoretical and practical classes taught by instructor Roosevelt Bezerra, practicing the sport for four and a half years. With him, two students of Physical Education, Alef Feitosa and Suzi Smith, strengthen education. For the teacher, the project aims to mobilize the sport in the state and increase the number of practitioners.

"The idea of the course is to show the sport for those people who do not know and improve beginners. The slack is growing a lot and practice benefits the mental and physical health, improving balance and concentration. I'm sure there are many talents who will be unraveled and this will be the time ", said Roosevelt.

For all ages
"It will basically teach the student to maneuver and balance the elastic tape. Our thinking is 'slack for all', why bring this project at no charge and for all ages. At first, I think the number of participants will be shy, but with time and people knowing that there is an ongoing, the practice will emerge ", commented Bezerra, to emphasize that the classes are suitable for children (from five years), youth and adults.

Yet according to Professor, for anyone who is looking for a physical activity, the slack is also a great option. This because, as the exercises are suspended and activity only uses body weight, the activity is ideal for those who want to lose weight and tighten the muscles.

"To maintain balance, all the power is concentrated in the abdomen and legs. That is why, the slack is a great ally for turning the thighs and dry the belly. That is, It is a great option for those who want to do a fun physical activity and positive results on a daily basis ", said the instructor, to stress that to carry out the activity, the ideal is that the person is shoes or barefoot, so it can better balance the width of five centimeters of tape.

Classes will be held soon at the beginning of the Olympic Village, in front of the headquarters of Sejel. No pre-registration is required, but are asked to practice on the day the person presenting the ID card or any document with photo and is wearing light clothing.
