The Secretariat of Public Security of the Amazon (SSP-AM) started, last year, a fight against crimes against life policy, with integrated strategies with the other organs of the system, the civil and military police, Fire Department, Amazon Traffic Department (DMV-AM) and the Department of Technical and Scientific Police (DPTC). Between January and August 2016, murders in the Amazon fell 27,7% compared to the same period in 2015. In this period, They were recorded 643 homicide, while from January to August 2015 were 891 cases. The greatest impact was in the state: were 244 crimes against life between January and August 2015, e 140 where 2016, registering a reduction 42,6%.

"The integrated operation of the security system bodies has been key to slow down and reduce the rates that only grew up 2015.
