'You were supposed to be arrested', Renan Calheiros says the Gleisi Hoffmann off the microphone

Senate President, Renan Calheiros (PMDB-AL) and Senator Gleisi Hoffmann (PT-PR), traded barbs on the morning of Friday (26) after the PT have raised a controversy on the first day of the final judgment of Rousseff's impeachment.

Renan said the senator could not have said that the Senate is unable to judge the impeachment and revealed that Gleisi asked him “to withdraw the indictment of her and Paul Bernardo in STF ".

The Renan statement resulted in an uproar in Parliament and forced Lewandowski to stop for five minutes the session. According to the website The Antagonist, the exchange of barbs between the two did not stop there because off the microphone, Calheiros, It would have been more explicit with PT: “You were supposed to be arrested, thank me!”
