UEA citizen performs prevention and health promotion actions at three points of Manaus

Gauging glycemia, survey of body mass index and fluoride application are some of the services offered

Academic of the University of the State of Amazonas (UEA), members of the Program 'UEA Citizen', will conduct health prevention and promotion activities on Saturday (27). The sessions will be distributed in three locations, It is the first Presbyterian Church in Mount Moriah, located on the street Antonio Sergio Vieiralves, No. 1085, New allotment in Aleixo, North of Manaus; the second will be at the school Cemecre, Street 14, No. 51, set Hiléia 1, neighborhood Redemption, Central-West, near Church Santana; and the third in the PAC Shopping UAI – St. Joseph, located in Cosme Ferreira Avenue, No. 4605, Neighbourhood Joseph the Worker, East zone. The sessions will take place from 8am to 12pm.

The activities will be different: blood pressure measurement, glycemia, survey of body mass index and fluoride application, guidelines on the prevention of diabetes and hypertension, as well as recreational activities. The shares also have the support of the State Department of Justice, Human Rights and Citizenship (Sejusc).

The Citizen UAS is a multidisciplinary action at the University with society, leading health information through non-formal education, allowing for joint actions of university with the community, promoting the improvement in quality of life, through prevention and promotion of citizenship.
