Entrepreneurs leave pessimism and increase confidence in the economyThe rebound in confidence was up 2,1%, according to the Industry Confidence Index (RIGHT HERE).
Entrepreneurs of manufacturing sector regained optimism about the possibility of an increase in activity in the coming months, reversing the dismay of behavior manifested last August.
This is shown by the Industry Confidence Index (RIGHT HERE), relative to September, with high 2,1 points before a fall 1 point in August, passing 86,1 for 88,2 points. The brand was the highest since July 2014 (88,8).
The ICI assesses the perception of entrepreneurs in the current business relationship and, in the medium term (six months), by Industry Survey transformation made by the Brazilian Institute of Economics of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (Ibra / FGV). Between 5 e 23 of September, leaders were heard of 1.122 companies. In a total of 19 segments, 12 indicated improvement in ratings both on the present moment and in the table referred to in six months.

Research shows that, in relation to the present, the result was influenced by the level of inventories. The proportion of respondents who considered excessive stocks fell, passing 14,1% for 12,7%. At the same time increased 5,4% for 7,1% the portion of evaluating stocks as insufficient. This was the highest rate since May 2013 (7,3%).
Regarding the utilization rate of installed capacity (walnuts) It was small rise, from 0,9 percentage point, reaching 74,7%, the highest level since December 2015.
The superintendent of public statistics Ibre / FGV, Aloisio Campelo Junior, said – by note – that "disaggregated reading of survey questions suggests a slow recovery and subject to shocks on the production side, resulting from the efforts to normalize inventories and recent breath loss of foreign sales ".
He added that the sector remains disappointed with the slow recovery of the domestic market, but it is optimistic about the possibility of improvement in the coming months.
