wildlife display in parade is extinguished by Attorney of Military Justice

For determination of the Attorney of Military Justice in Manaus, the Brazilian Army can not display any wild animal during the traditional parade 7 of September. Since today, the display of animals is forbidden in parades, military and civic stops, training or any other similar events.

The request was forwarded to the Amazon Military Command (CMA) and occurs more than two months after the death of Oz Juma, after the relay ceremony of the Olympic Torch held that Army unit.

Other recommendations sent to the Army still ask that no animal appears out of its enclosure, as the zoo CIGS; the regularization procedures are carried out with environmental agencies of all wild animals under guard; the handling procedures, handling and transport of wild animals are guided by environmental agencies and, in the event of animal escape, environmental agencies and environmental police are triggered; that no wild animal is accepted for any military unit, without the relevant legal service.
