In solemn ceremony of raising the flag 17 Sustainable Development Goals (ODS), Governor Jose Melo emphasized the construction of Sustainable Economic Matrix as one of the measures which culminates in global efforts to promote sustainable development. The ceremony marks one year of the adoption of 'Calendar 2030', which deals with the implementation of actions, by all countries of the world to eradicate poverty and protect the environment, the next 15 years.
The ceremony took place on Monday (26), the seat of government, west of Manaus, with the presence of the first lady Fabiana Gomes and State Secretaries. agreed by 193 member states of the United Nations (HIM), in September last year, phonebook 2030 for sustainable development is based on five main areas of activity: Planet, People, Paz, Prosperity and Partnerships.

The Agenda recognizes that to end poverty it is necessary to have a plan that promotes economic growth and respond to a range of social needs. In this context, Governor José Melo emphasized the construction of sustainable economic matrix which aims to alternative socio-economic development to the State. "The matrix will give an example of sustainability and ensure that people living, mainly indigenous and riverine, conditions of access to social policies in health, education and security. And even more so the Amazon is associated with this global effort for peace and preservation of nature ".
Since the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development 1992, in Rio de Janeiro, the world identified a new path to sustainable development. The concept recognizes that economic development must be balanced with growth that responds to people's needs and protect the environment.

objective 13. Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts;

objective 15. To protect, restore and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation and halt the loss of biodiversity;
