lava Jato: MPF complaint Lula, Marisa Leticia and six people

Former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva was reported to the first Justice under Operation Lava Jato. The announcement was made today (14) by the task force of the Federal Prosecutor (MPF) responsible for the operation. The complaint also includes Lula's wife, Marisa Leticia da Silva, and six others.

The complaint details were not disclosed. They will be presented at a news conference with task force members, 15h planned.

Prosecutors say the former president received undue benefits for the reform of a triplex in Guaruja (SP) made by the contractor OAS. According to the MPF, the reform was offered to him as compensation for actions of the former president in the Petrobras corruption scheme.

The complaint also includes the names of President Lula Institute, Paul Okamotto, and former president of the OAS Leo Pinheiro. The other four accused are people related to contractor Agenor Franklin Magalhães Medeiros, Paulo Roberto Valente Gordilho, Fabio Hori Yonamine and Roberto Moreira Ferreira.

The MPF also investigating whether the works carried out by Odebrecht on a site frequented by Lula's family in Atibaia (SP) also consist of undue advantage received by PT. However, no representative of the construction company was included in the complaint filed today.
