Brazil navigation is the focus of national mobilization in Manaus

Leaders of the water transport sector will come to the capital of Amazonas to discuss barriers that impact the transport development in the country.

Manaus receives the Mobilization for Debureaucratization Navigation in Brazil on Friday (16). Leaders of the water transport sector will come to the capital of Amazonas to discuss weaknesses and barriers that impact the development of the mode of transport in the country.

The event is held by the National Federation of Aquaviária Shipping Companies (Fenavega) with support of the Association of Inland Navigation Companies in Amazonas State (Sindarma). The initiative is part of the national movement by the bureaucracy of the Brazilian navigation. The industry players will discuss measures to address bureaucratic obstacles, that negatively impact the sector.

Second Fenavega, the focus of the campaign is to reduce to acceptable levels the bureaucratic requirements that currently apply in various public sector agencies, thus enabling the waterway transport modal offers users and customers more agility, efficiency and cost-effective.

The president of Fenavega, Raimundo Netherlands, explained that the mobilization campaigns that Federeação, along with its affiliated unions, has been promoting since last year are aimed at the union of all sectors of navigation with a common purpose: consolidate waterway navigation as the mode of transport.

“Navigation can contribute decisively to the much of solving logistical problems in transporting. For such a purpose is achieved it is necessary, first, they are removed some obstacles to the growth of navigation, among them, excessive bureaucracy that still prevails in certain segments of the public sector, the lack of public investment in the existing waterway mesh structure, as signaling works, dredging and derrocamentos in rivers and canals. We also need the adoption of public security measures aimed to fight piracy acts, modernization and equipment of ports and port terminals, among others”, He evaluated the president of Fenavega.

The Fenavega will make the symbolic launch of the next navigation mobilization campaign, that will focus “waterways have”. Will be present entrepreneurs shipping industry and representatives of the following institutions authorities: National Agency of Waterway Transportation (Antaq), Brazil's navy, Parliamentary Front in Defense of Ports, Waterways and Navigation Brazil's Chamber of Deputies.

The joint initiative of Fenavega and Sindarma still has the support of other unions that make up the federation. still participate the National Confederation of Transport (CNT), Inter-American Transport Chamber (CIT), National Service of Transport and National Transport Training Service (Sest / Senat).

The event is free and will take place from 9 am, in Rio Negro Hall of Tropical Hotel, located on Avenida Coronel Teixeira, n° 1.320, Ponta Negra neighborhood, West Zone of Manaus.
