Irregular occupation in Manaus will be the theme of the 1st Legal Tribune Public Defender

The event will be held today (21), in the auditorium of the Superior School of Public Defender.

In order to promote the current debate panorama of irregular occupations in Manaus, the Public Defender of Amazonas (ECD-AM) held on Wednesday, 21 of September, the 1st Edition of the Legal Tribune Public Defender Amazonas State, with the theme "Occupations Irregulars in Manaus City: Causes, consequences and treatment ".

The Tribune will begin at 14h, in the auditorium of the Superior School of Public Defender (Esudpam), in the street 24 of May, 321, Center, area south of Manaus, with the participation of community associations in several areas of the capital. There is 130 places available for participation in the Tribuna. Entries can be made by email: [email protected].

According to the holder of Defense Interests Specialized Care Collectives, Carlos Alberto Almeida Filho, discussions will focus as the causes, conflicts, the search for housing marginalization, increasing the supply of decent housing, sealing the kicking and the actions of state and local government in the legal confrontation.

The approach will include analysis of social order, economic, environmental and public safety, among others. According to Carlos Almeida Filho, no need to expand knowledge on the subject and clarify differences regarding the role of the Public Defender. He points out that it is constitutional mission of the DPE-AM acting in defense of land regularization in favor of socially vulnerable population, generate and foster popular empowerment, through education on rights and the promotion of debates and public hearings forums.

The resolutions of the Tribune will be submitted to the Superior Council of the Public Defender, as a condition for the preparation of the proceedings of the Tribune for distribution to public defenders and other public authorities and institutions working in the area.
