Labor reform will formalize journey 12 hours, says ministercurrently, labor contracts with journeys of more than eight hours are often questioned by the Labor Court.
Labour Minister, Ronaldo Nogueira, reported yesterday day, 8, meeting with union leaders, the labor reform should be sent to Congress later this year.
Among the agenda in action, is the proposal to formalize daily journeys of up to 12 hours. currently, labor contracts with journeys of more than eight hours are often questioned by the Labor Court, that still does not formally recognize the longest journey.
The document should also include the creation of two new contract models. The folder evaluates consider the type that includes hours worked and productivity, beyond the model that already currently in force, based on working hours. The aim of the measures is to increase the legal certainty of contracts that are not stipulated by labor legislation, Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT).
Ronaldo Nogueira stressed that there will be no withdrawal of labor rights. "There mexermos hypothesis FGTS [Guarantee Fund for Time of Service], no 13º [salary], slicing the holidays and the working week. These rights will be consolidated. We have a huge number of workers that need to be achieved by public policy of the Ministry of Labor ", said Nogueira, at the National Executive meeting of the Central Trade Union Brasileiros (CSB).
In August, the minister had already announced that the government will send an update proposed labor legislation to Congress. In this ocasion, Ronaldo Nogueira ensured that workers' rights will be maintained. He said that "the worker will not be betrayed by the Minister of Labour”. Nogueira, the reform will create job opportunities with income and consolidate rights.
