Councilors and social workers involved in corruption crime are arrested in the AMPolice received anonymous complaints informing the diversion of food baskets of Cras and possible vote buying on site.
The Civil Police of Amazonas, broke out early on Friday (16), the operation "Vote Free", which resulted in the arrests of six people involved in vote-buying in Careiro Brown, distant city 102 kilometers straight from the capital.
The councilors John Doza de Oliveira Neto, 47, and Gleuson Lima Mosque, 37, besides Elcio Freitas Nascimento, 44, and social workers Jucimara Cabral Cavalcante, 46; Aurilene Barbosa Pucu Cardoso, 32, and Girlaine Martins Rodrigues, 45, They were arrested during police action, which included strengthening crowded servers in the Police Department of the Interior (DPI) and Research Department of Narcotics (Denarc).
According to the delegate Danniel Antony, the arrests occurred pursuant to warrants issued yesterday, day 15, by Judge Sabrina Cumba Ferreira, of Careiro Brown County. He stresses that the investigations into the case began a month ago, after receiving anonymous complaints informing the diversion of food baskets of the Social Assistance Reference Center (tomorrow) and possible vote buying on site.
As the Deputy Delegate of the 34th DIP, Mario Silvio Junior, John served as mayor of Careiro Brown and, along with Gleuson, would be seeking re-election. The two were arrested on public roads in that city. Girlaine served as Secretary of Social Cras Careiro Brown Assistance and was arrested along with Jucimara and Aurilene on the premises of public unit. Elcio was arrested in the house where he lived, located at Avenida Sargento Nonato Brito, Vista Alegre neighborhood.
"We received complaints stating that families not registered with the Social Welfare program were receiving food parcels in exchange for votes. In audios available by Justice councilors acertavam fraudulent bidding with entrepreneurs for future meat supply contracts for school lunches. Also we grasp the list of beneficiaries who received artesian wells in exchange for votes ", said Mario Silvio Junior.
Aurilene, elcio, Girl substance, Gleuson, John and Jucimara were indicted for criminal association and corruption. After the appropriate procedures they remain prisoners in different cells of the 34th DIP, where they will wait for court ruling.
