Hall loses female representation

Currently Parliament has 7 aldermen, already to the next Legislature the number decreased to 4, a reduction of 48,86%.

The results of the municipal elections for 41 aldermen positions in the Municipality of Manaus (CMM), shows a reduction in the number of female parliamentarians. The number that was already reduced, further decreased, as currently the Parliament has seven councilors and the next four years, will feature only four women.

The reduction of three women taking place in CMM, It is a reduction of 48,86%. Of the seven who are currently councilors, only three reached the reelection: glory Carrate (PRP), Professor Ruiz Therezinha (THE) and Professor Jacqueline (PHS). Those who have lost a seat in the Legislature were: Socorro Sampaio (PP), Vilma Queiroz (PHS), Rosi Matos (PT) e Pastora Luciana (PP).

Only one woman is newcomer, that is, He was elected to his first term, Joan of Arc Protective (PR).
