More than two thousand families that make up the traditional communities of the state environmental conservation units will be benefited with the Right to Collective Use Concessions (CDRUs), a legal instrument for granting public lands. The awards will be presented on Wednesday, day 5, during the monthly meeting of the working group on land tenure in protected areas, called "Dialogue Amazonas". formed by federal agencies, state and civil society. The meeting will be at 9 am, in Amazonas Federal Institute headquarters (Ifam), on Avenida Sete de Setembro, Center, South of Manaus.
The beneficiary families residing in the Sustainable Development Reserves (RDS) Uatumã, Piagaçu-Pure, Uacari, Canum, Rio Madeira and Rio Juma and in Resex Canutama and Rio Gregory.
The CDRUs amount to a definitive title of ownership and ensure benefits for the residents of these areas, such as access to rural credit and social security benefits as retirement. "All claims that Incra settlements guarantees will now also be available to the residents of these reserves. The delivery of CDRUs was a result of an administrative proceeding formed from the participation of Amazonas State Attorney General (Intoxicated / General) in meetings on land tenure in protected areas, called "Dialogue Amazonas", in which there was the participation of the National Council of Extractive Populations (CNS), Federal Public Ministry (MPF), Department of Land Policy, Institute of Amazon Lands (Iteam), Institute for Education in Brazil (brought), Pastoral Land Commission (CPT), Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio), National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra), Secretary of the Union Heritage (SPU), Terra Legal Program of the Ministry of Agrarian Development (MDA) and State Center of Amazonas Conservation Units (CEUC).
Among the many topics covered in the meetings of the "Dialogue Amazonas", It was discussed the need for land regularization by Amazon Land Institute (Iteam), in Federal Conservation Units (Resex and Flona) created on Amazonas State-owned land, which resulted in the decision to issue the CDRUs to promote land regularization process in these areas.
