Acclaimed by the international press as a phenomenon in your area, the young South Korean violinist Ji Young Lim will only show in Manaus, next Thursday (20), at 20h, Amazonas Theatre with special monitoring of the Amazon Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of maestro Luiz Fernando Malheiro. The event is organized by the Government of Amazonas, through the Department of Culture, and part of the celebrations of 120 years of cultural status symbol, the Teatro Amazonas.
Born in 1995, em alone, with just 20 years was the winner of the celebrated Contest Queen Elisabeth of Belgium, edition 2015, one of the most important musical competitions in the world. On tour for five Brazilian cities, Ji Young Lim is a unique presentation in Manaus and will be the soloist of the Orchestra Amazonas Philharmonic, governed by Luiz Fernando Malheiro.
The program has the opening of the opera "Semiramide" by Rossini, a Sinfonia Nº 4 "Tragic" Schubert and Lim Ji Young's solo Violin Concerto No. 5 Mozart. The violinist plays with a Stradivarius “Huggins” from 1708, instrument given to her by the Nippon Music Foundation, for four years, as part of the prize won in the Competition.
Talent and musicality
Ji Young Lim began playing violin at the age of seven. After studying at the Korean National Institute, He completed his musical studies at the Korea National University of Arts, under the supervision of Nam Yun Kim Violinist.
Lim has had its bright talent and musicality recognized in several national and international competitions. Featured for the first awards won at the International Competition Euroasia, in Japan, in 2013, and the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, USA, in 2014.
The violinist has performed in the United States, Canada, Japan, Korea, Germany and Switzerland, Apart from Belgium, where he won the Contest Queen Elisabeth 2015. Lim was the first instrumentalist Korean to win the prestigious contest, that this issue had 69 instrumentalists 20 different countries.
One of the best Brazilian orchestras
Created in 26 September 1997, Orquestra Amazonas Philharmonic is about to complete 20 years of activities, under the leadership of maestro Luiz Fernando Malheiro, artistic director and principal conductor, and come, through this years, consolidating as one of the best and most important Brazilian orchestras outside the Rio-São Paulo.
Besides being the official orchestra of Amazonas Government, that realizes the Amazonas Opera Festival, annually presents seasons of symphony concerts, offering the Amazonian high quality cultural entertainment population, via the Secretariat of Culture. Featured, in 2016, to carry out the new issue of "Guarana Series", celebrating 120 years of Teatro Amazonas.
