Members of the special committee that analyzes the Bill (PL) 4.850/16, which deals with calls measures to combat corruption, back together now in the House to vote on the new report presented yesterday (22) by Mr Onyx Lorenzoni (DEM-RS). In the third version of the text, The debate went on for almost 6 hours and ended around 23:30. The decision for approval or rejection was for this morning (23).

To try to expand support around the opinion, Lorenzoni sought party caucuses and decided to include only major points of consensus. The MP presented the new version of which reduced 17 for 12 measures to combat corruption, removing all the points that were not covered in the list of ten proposals submitted by the prosecution in the original design. Among the exclusions were restrictions on the granting of habeas corpus and the forecast of serving sentence immediately after the second conviction, that has already been decided by the Supreme Court (STF).

The forecast of a crime committed for judges and prosecutors, which had already been removed, continued outside opinion. Lorenzoni also removed the possibility of preventive detention to ensure the return of embezzled money.

The point with regard to international cooperation agreements was also removed, after members pressure the Federal Police, as well as in relation to international cooperation teams. "Even with the agreement signed, leaders asked throughout the day and the last day that all that exceed the ten measures were taken ", justified Lorenzoni.

The rapporteur maintained the criminalization of slush practice with accountability of political parties. With this, collect, to receive, keep, drive, spend or use values, estimable goods or services in cash, parallel with the accounting required by the electoral law, could lead to imprisonment from two to five years plus fine. Lorenzoni voters also included among the possible penalized in cases of votes of sales and maintained the criminalization of illicit enrichment of public officials and the elimination of barriers to the confiscation of criminal assets.
