Maranatha, Christian Carnival, 24th edition will have in Manaus

Carnival is the traditional festival of the people with fun and irreverence of the revelers in the street parties and the parade of Samba Schools. But, for some, It is also time of praise and reflection. This is the proposal of Maranatha, Christian Carnival which is in 24 Edition and has the support of the Municipal Culture Foundation, Tourism and Events (Manauscult).

Conducted by Catholic Community Alliance New and Eternal Covenant, Maranatha takes place on 26, 27 e 28 of February, from 8h to 20h, Arena Amadeu Teixeira, located on the street Loris Cordovil, Flores neighborhood, Centro-Sul. The event is open to the general public.

According to event coordinator, Atevaldo Menezes, this year's program brings the theme devotion, especially to Our Lady Aparecida, of who celebrates 300 years of image appearance.

"I believe that this event will have a positive response from the public. We expect three to four thousand people at this year's event. Our goal is to offer people a different Carnival, with moments of praise and worship ", explica Atevaldo. The entrance to the Maranatha is 1 kg of non-perishable food.
