The Amazon was one of the first states to join the federal program, whose guidelines are similar to initiatives already undertaken by the State Government. Last year the Governor Jose Melo launched the Early Childhood Amazonense (PIA), which aims to promote the integral development of the child, with monitoring from the mother's pregnancy until the age of six.
The state program is based on the Early Childhood riverfront (THE BRIDGE), whose pilot was launched in 2012 by the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS) and the State Department of Health (Sesame), in partnership with the Institute for the Development of Social Investment (Idis). The PIR is focused on monitoring health and the integral development of Sustainable Development Reserves of children up 6 years old.

The implementation of the Happy Child depends on the accession of the states and municipalities and pass their respective Social Assistance advice. Early Childhood Amazonense

Early Childhood riverfront
Since 2012, FAS develops the Project Early Childhood riverfront (THE BRIDGE), in partnership with the State Department of Health of Amazonas (Sesame) and Institute for the Development of Social Investment (Idis), with Johnson resources & Johnson and Bernard Van Leer Foundation. The initiative seeks to support the development of inclusive public policies for early childhood development of children in coastal communities in the State of Amazonas.
