TRE-AM calls for volunteer poll workers-election

Near 28 thousand poll workers in the state are invited to the election that will take place on 6 August that will elect a new governor of Amazonas.

The Regional Electoral Court Amazonas (TRE-AM) summons volunteer poll workers for the by-election this year. To participate, the applicant must be over 18 years, have completed high school and be in compliance with the Electoral Court.

Near 28 thousand poll workers in the state are invited to the election that will take place on 6 August that will elect a new governor of Amazonas.

The Regional Electoral Court sent the notifications at the beginning of June, but so far little more 60% confirmed presence.

According to the TRE, all poll workers will have to go through an intensive training that starts next week with morning classes and afternoon.

Voters who participate in the program as volunteers will have multiple benefits, including those provided for in Article 98, you have n. 9.504/97 (General Election Law): Exemption from service, by declaration issued by the Electoral Court, without loss of pay, maturity or any other advantage, for twice the days of convocation; Food assistance on Election Day; Certificate of service of Elections; Tiebreaker in public tenders, according to the criteria already established by law or regulation; Besides that, it is guaranteed to students of the accredited colleges recognition as extracurricular activity.
