A few hours of the last televised debate before the second round of by-election, the Amazonino Mendes candidate (PDT) reported on Friday (25) will not join the clash with fellow candidate Eduardo Braga (PMDB).

Through note, the former governor claimed to be the target of numerous attacks throughout his campaign by Senator.

As in his last propaganda piece on radio and TV, Amazonino accuses opponent Eduardo Braga (PMDB) to spread untruths in his campaign, it considered unfair and low level.

Read the note, in full:
Throughout this campaign, I was the target of numerous attacks. As we present our proposal to rebuild the Amazon and plan for the future of our state, we were faced with untruths, an unfair campaign, low level, promoted by my opponent. Only inserts on radio and television were more than four thousand attacks. A very different campaign that people expect to see in a moment so delicate for the Amazon. For all this, and the certainty that my opponent does so, believing that this is the only way of doing politics, I made a choice. I chose not to participate in the meeting promoted by the Amazon Network. With a disloyal opponent, that does the dirty game of the old policy, a sincere debate, honest and purposeful can not.
