PF investigates allegations involving servants of the Ministry of Agriculture

The purpose is to investigate allegations of corruption involving servants of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agriculture and Food Supply, refrigerators and dairy companies.

The Federal Police (PF) triggered today (30) 2nd stage of operation Lucas – called Operation Vegas -, in order to investigate allegations of corruption involving servants of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agriculture and Food Supply, refrigerators and dairy companies.

The operation includes the participation of 115 cops, which meet 51 warrants in Tocantins (in the municipalities of Araguaina, Nova Olinda and Gurupi), Maranhao and Minas Gerais.

This Operation Luke stage began after receiving complaints that refrigerators and dairy companies were favored in administrative proceedings, formalities in order to delay or cancel fines.

Between the 51 judicial orders are being fulfilled, there is a probation and ten temporary prisons. there are still 12 forceful warrants and 28 search and seizure warrants. The investigation will answer for the crimes of passive and active corruption.

According to a release issued by PF, the operation name alludes to a dialogue intercepted by police, in which an investigation says that "everything that happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas ".

To talk about the operation, the Federal Police gives news conference, at 10 am, in Araguaína (TO).
