Consumers served by Amazonas Distribuidora de Energia will have the adjusted tariffs from the 1st of November. Residential customers will have increased 12,67% into their accounts, while companies 12,68%, Low Voltage; e 25,17%, for medium voltage (industries). The average final cost to the consumer reaches 17,13%.

The new percentages were approved on Tuesday (31) by the Board of the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) during a public meeting. The utility serves approximately 968 thousand consumer units located in the State of Amazonas.

When calculating the adjustment, as established in the concession contract, the Agency considers the variation in costs associated with providing the service. The calculation takes into account the acquisition and transmission of electricity, and sector charges.

The average effect of high voltage refers to classes A1 (>= 230 kV), A2 (from 88 a 138 kV), A3 (69 kV) e A4 (from 2,3 a 25 kV). For low voltage, the average includes the classes B1 (Residential and low-income residential subclass); B2 (Rural: subclasses, as agriculture, cooperative rural electrification, rural industry, public service rural irrigation); B3 (Industrial, commercial, services and other activities, public Power, public service and own consumption); e B4 (Street lighting).
