This year's Award Vivaleitura will distribute R $ 90 thousand to the winners. of 1.803 work entered, 201 They are in the category public libraries, private and community; 904 in public and private schools; 698 in society - companies, non-governmental organizations, individuals, universities and social institutions. The winner of each category will receive R $ 30 thousand in cash.
According to the coordinator of the award, Telma Teixeira, of the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), a teachers' committee invited analyze all projects and will select five per category. Later, a group of experts evaluate the 15 projects and will choose the three winners, which will be known at the time of award.
Delivery of the fourth prize Vivaleitura is expected to 22 of October, in Sao Paulo, with the participation of 15 finalists. They share a number of cultural activities. Between them, visit to the Museum of the Portuguese Language.
The objectives of the award are to expand and improve citizens' access to reading, value the book as a cultural instrument and support the creation and production of literary works. The National Council of Secretaries of Education (consed) and the National Union of Municipal Education Managers (Undime) support the initiative.
