The federal government has decided to conduct a census of Venezuelan immigrants who entered Brazil because of the political and economic crisis in neighboring. Before the survey information, Planalto Palace consider further action to be taken.

With the deterioration of the economy led by Nicolas Maduro, Venezuelan have crossed the border and settled in Brazil, mainly in the state of Roraima, in the cities of Pacaraima and Boa Vista. The government did not say when the census starts.

The issue was discussed at ministerial meeting held yesterday (30), coordinated by the chief minister of the Civil House, Eliseu Padilha. Attended by ministers Garden Torquato (Justice), Raul Jungmann (Defense), Ricardo Barros (Health), Osmar Terra (Social development), Sérgio Etchegoyen (Institutional Security Office) and the Ministry Secretary General of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Marcos Galvão.

The situation has been monitored by the federal government, giving technical and financial support to Roraima state to meet this population. During the ministerial meeting, it was decided that stepping up actions in the region.
