The President of the Supreme Court (STF), Minister Carmen Lucia, scored for 22 March the judgment on the merits of the injunctions that guaranteed the payment of housing allowance to all judges in the country, including federal judges, the Labor Court, Military Justice and state. The payment was released in 2014 by Minister Luiz Fux.
Two in granting injunctions, Fux determined that the courts were notified to start paying the benefit, currently R $ 4,3 one thousand, to understand that housing assistance is provided in the Organic Law of the Judiciary (Loman – Complementary law 35/1979).
According to the Attorney General's Office (AGU), the annual cost of the aid is approximately R $ 435 millions. The case reached the Supreme through actions of some judges and the Association of Federal Judges (Ajufe). All claimed that housing assistance is provided by Loman, but the payment was not fulfilled.
