Ten extended hours of BHU provide polio vaccine Saturday

The Ten Basic Health Units (BHU) of extended hours, administered by Manaus Prefecture, through the Municipal Health (Sems), will be Saturday, 25/8, performing the actions of the National Vaccination Campaign against polio (infantile paralysis), from 8am to 12pm. The target audience are all children aged one year to four years, 11 months and 29 days.

Working in extended hours from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 21h, and Saturdays, from 8am to 12pm, ten UBS offer the same routine services to all other health units in the municipal, including the supply of vaccines.

"The UBS traditional work hours from Monday to Friday, the morning and the afternoon. And the ten extended hours of UBS are an alternative to facilitate people's attention in a different time ", informs the municipal secretary of Health, Marcelo Magaldi.

The Campaign against Polio Vaccination, started on 6 Of this month, It will close on Friday, 31. No period 27, next Monday, until the day 31, the campaign will be running in all 183 Manaus vaccine rooms, including the ten health units of extended hours.
