MPF returns over R $ 1 billion recovered by Lava jet for Petrobras

MPF says is the largest amount ever returned in a criminal investigation in the country.

The Federal Public Ministry in Parana (MPF-PR) announced, this Thursday (9), the return of R $ 1.034.406.939,75 for Petrobras safes in the coming days. The return ceremony occurred, this morning, MPF in the auditorium in Curitiba.

Until now, with this new transfer, the amount already returned is of R $ 2.509.993.677,52. The prosecutor's chief organ, Paula Cristina Conti Thá, It states that it is the 12th return of funds made by the task force of Lava Jet and the largest ever made in Brazil.

The amount was recovered through award-winning collaboration agreements and leniency, concluded in the framework of Operation Lava Jet with individuals and legal entities, in addition to the repatriation of amounts arising from the voluntary resignation of a defendant.

The total amount, 259.807.693,84 They are deposited in the account of the 13th Judicial Criminal Federal Court of Curitiba and should be transferred to the state in the coming days. The other R $ 774.599.245,91 They have been deposited directly to Petrobras.

The amount already deposited for the company derives from the Zwi Skornicki collaboration agreement, held in conjunction with the Attorney General's Office (PGR) and approved by the Supreme Court (STF) no amount of R $ 87.0.83.398,71.

The amount also includes the amount of R $ 687.515.847.20, the leniency of the company Keppel Fels.

The amount that remains in legal bills is related to: paid installments of 16 agreements with individuals; three leniency agreements with companies; spontaneous recovery of resources by one of the defendants operation, no amount of R $ 44.470.860,17.
