Justice decrees imprisonment of John of God

The Public Security Bureau of Goias confirmed recently that the Goiás Court accepted the request of the Public Ministry of Goiás (MP-GO) and determined to arrest the medium goiano John Teixeira Faria, John of God. He is the target of sexual abuse allegations.

The report could not talk to the lawyer Alberto Toron, that supports the medium. The lawyer filed yesterday (13) request that the court authorize the medium to continue the sessions at the Casa Dom Inacio Loyola, in Abadiânia.

Until Thursday, the task force created by the state prosecutor to investigate the allegations of sexual abuse against John of God had received 330 messages and contacts by telephone women claiming to be victims of sexual crimes committed by the medium.

Criminal Justice prosecutors of the prosecution of other states are also receiving complaints and assisting the prosecution of Goiás in the calculation, gathering the testimonies of whistleblowers who do not live in Goiás.

Complaints began to go public last Friday (7) when the program Conversation with Bial, TV Globo, released the first reports of sexual abuse. From there, other women who claim to be victims of the medium began to go to the authorities and the press. On Wednesday, in his first public appearance, the medium said he is innocent and is available to the Brazilian Justice.

“Brothers and my dear sisters, I thank God for being here. I want to fulfill Brazilian law. I am in the hands of Justice. The John of God is still alive”, He declared the medium to pass through the House Dom Inacio, where peramaneceu for less than ten minutes before leaving claiming to be barely passing.
