At the request of the Federal Prosecutor (MPF) not Amazonas, the Federal Court ruled, on a preliminary basis, the blocking of more than R $ 43 thousand in assets of former mayor Caapiranga (a 134 kilometers from Manaus) Antônio Ferreira Lima in action improper conduct. According to the MPF, Antonio Lima did not demonstrate the full application of federal resources to improvements in educational facilities in the city.
According to information gathered on the site of the National Education Development Fund (fnd) and present in the MPF action, the municipality of Caapiranga received, in 2010, R$ 24.540,30, through the Direct Money to Schools Program (PDDE). The amount was allocated to operating expenses coverage, maintenance and small investments necessary to ensure the functioning and improving physical and educational infrastructure of teaching units.
The MPF points out that the former mayor came to present the accountability of funds received at the time that was ahead of municipal management, However, failed to prove the correct application 100% resources. Therefore, the ruling answered the injunction request of the MPF and ordered the blocking of R $ 43.485,41 Antonio Lima in goods. The value corresponds to the amount transferred by the federal government, adjusted for inflation.
