The task force, through the Municipal Consumer Protection and Ombudsman (Semdec), representing the Manaus City Hall; State Program of Protection and Consumer Guidance (Procon-AM); State Prosecutor's Office (MPE-AM); and Public Defender State (ECD-AM), informs that due to the rejection of the application for an injunction by the 2nd Court of the Treasury, will appeal the interlocutory decision rendered in Civil Action with a request for urgent interim protection, proposed by the agencies of the State Consumer Protection system against fuel distributors, syndicate of dealers and Manaus gas stations.

The internal secretary Semdec, Rodrigo Guedes, informed that, unfortunately, there was understanding of different magistrate of the Consumer Defense task force, that fits the preliminary injunction request, because there is a clear gap between the price on fuel pumps and the price charged by Petrobras, which harms the consumer.

"This decision demonstrates only, from a legal point of view, the complexity of the issue and how it is not simple, as you might think, since we use the only power that has the power to determine the reduction and judgment held that it is not for injunction. But, respecting the understanding of the judge, we are using right away because we understand what is happening practice of abusive price, even if prices, in theory, are free, but based on legal principles ", said Guedes.

According to him, the task force will not give up the action and will resort to all possible courts.
