Accompanied by PT politicians and lawyers, Lula leaves PF incarceration in Curitiba

Former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva left just the incarceration of the Federal Police (PF) in Curitiba after the decision of the Federal Court that he authorized his release. Lula was arrested since 7 April last year by the conviction in the case of the triplex of Guaruja (SP), Operation of the jet wash processes.

Lula left the headquarters of the PF through the front door, accompanied by parliamentarians of the PT and its lawyers. He walked toward the supporters who were waiting on a stage, where he made a speech to activists.

In a speech about 20 minutes, Lula thanked the PT militants who made a camp in front of PF in Curitiba during the 580 day prison term. The former president also said he will return to Sao Paulo and participate in meetings at the United Steelworkers for the weekend.

“I did not think this day could be here, talking to men and women who, during 580 days, Here shouted 'good day, Lula’. You were the food of democracy for me to resist”, he said.

Freedom of former President was delivered by Danilo Pereira Junior judge, after Lula's defense call for the release of former President based on the decision given yesterday (7) the Supreme Court (STF), that overthrew the validity of the provisional execution of criminal convictions, known as prison after the second instance.
