Establishments in Manaus malls are sued after consumer complaints

Three inspections of Municipal Law Office and Consumer Ombudsman (Semdec) They were held throughout this week in two malls in Manaus, located in the North and South Central zones. The inspections were due to complaints of violation of the Consumer Law.

"One of the establishments had a certain promotion that was causing confusion and inducing error to customers", said the Secretary of the interim Semdec, Rodrigo Guedes.

according to Guedes, the store was using abusive practice, according to Decree 5.903/2006 CDC, because the information offered by the establishment did not have clarity to consumers. "We have received several complaints via phone and in our social networks, the store was fined for infringing other decrees CDC, including condition the payment via credit card through iota. We remind consumers to always denounce when they feel wronged in some way ", reinforced the interim secretary.
