Garotinho must leave Bangu and go to the hospital, decide ministra do TSE

The minister of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) Luciana Lossio granted today (18) house arrest the former federal deputy and former governor of Rio de Janeiro Anthony Garotinho, arrested this week by the Federal Police (PF) under the vote-buying charges.

Garotinho must be transferred immediately to a hospital and can not become trapped in the Penitentiary of Bangu, in Rio de Janeiro, where it was downloaded yesterday (17). After receiving medical care, former parliamentarian may follow home, according to the decision of the Minister.

According to the PF, the arrest is part of investigations relating to the use of Cheque Citizen program, benefit of R $ 100 granted by the Campos dos Goytacazes city for the purchase of food products by the population. Garotinho is city government secretary. His wife, Rosinha Garotinho, it is mayoress.

The defense Garotinho argues that "arrest is arbitrary, illegal and based on facts that have not occurred ".
