Bolsonaro says it intends to privatize Post, but acknowledges difficulty

President said he can not guarantee that he can facilitate the sale of the state by the end of its mandate.

The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, acknowledged that struggling to privatize the post office and other public companies. “These are not easy privatizations. Mail to own what we want to privatize, but has difficulty”, said.

He also said he can not guarantee that he can facilitate the sale of the state by the end of its mandate.

“If I could privatize (the post office) today, privatization. But I can not harm the Post Office server”, the president said early on Tuesday, 7, out of the Alvorada Palace.

Bolsonaro recalled decision of the Supreme Court (STF) which states that the sale of parent companies need to go through legislative and other issues it sees as obstacles to give sequence to privatization, including the control of the Federal Audit Court (TCU).

“And then you mess with hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of servers, It is a big liability. Must seek solution to all this. You can not play the guys up, they have to have their guarantees, plus you have to have a buyer for it, It has the Federal Audit Court with magnifying glass on top of you. These are not easy privatizations”, said the president.
