Collapsing of the Parintins city edge makes emergency decree

The intention of the council is to seek funds for the construction of retaining wall.

The Hall of Parintins, a 369 km away from Manaus, declared emergency on Tuesday (14) due to collapse on the edge of town, that endangers people's lives.

According to the prefecture, the emergency should apply for a period of 90 days may be extended until reaching the maximum 180. The intention of the council is to seek resources for retaining wall construction in stretches where there is no structure and revitalization of a wall of the passage of breadwinner.

Erosion affects the areas of the Port of Parintins to the municipal slaughterhouse; Communes of Bar stretch until the beginning of Rua Senador Alvaro Maia; Steps stretch of the St. Benedict Square to the City Guaranteed, and consequently the cracking of the existing retaining wall on the front edge of Parintins, in the stretch between Caetano Rua Prestes to Rua Senador Alvaro Maia.
