PF STF alert for possible terrorist attacks against ministers

The Federal Police (PF) reported today (17) He found that messages with insults and threats to the Federal Supreme Court (STF) on the Internet. The content of the dialogue is kept secret and was obtained through routine monitoring, held in recent weeks in Deepweb, sites with illegal and anonymous internet content.

According to PF, the messages are treated generic threats and do not indicate planning evidence of any attempt on the Supreme Court. Investigations continue to identify people involved in the case.

The PF also reported that all information has been sent to the Minister of the Supreme Alexandre de Moraes, Rapporteur of an investigation by the President of the Court, Dias Toffoli, last year, to investigate threats to ministers over the Internet.

In March 2019, Toffoli decided to open an investigation into false news (fake news) having the Court targets.

The measure was taken "considering the existence of fraudulent news, known as news fake, slanderous denunciations, coated threats and violations of libelous tempers, slanderous and libelous, hitting the integrity and security of the Supreme Court (STF), of its members and their families. "

In this ocasion, the measure was challenged by the then Attorney General of the Republic, Raquel Dodge. For the former prosecutor, It would be up to prosecutors carry out such investigations and not the judiciary.
