The Record TV was sentenced on appeal to pay $ 2 million to have covered with paint a wall with rock art in Diamantina, in Minas Gerais. The station can still appeal the decision. The information is the newspaper El País Brazil.

According to the indictment, the station would have painted the wall to set the scene of the biblical King David miniseries, recorded ten years ago. The archaeological site has undergone a chemical analysis identified the presence of white vinyl paint on the cultural heritage of the area used for recording.

The station defended himself saying that it is not possible to prove that the paint found at the site have been placed for the production of the novel, because the expertise was carried out over a year after the closure of recordings.
